Biography
Brenda Lynch, President
Lynch & Associates Human Resources Consulting
In 1999, Brenda
formed Lynch and Associates Human Resources Consulting to serve
clients in the San Francisco Bay area. Her firm provides human resources
consulting, as well as day-to-day outsourcing of human resource
functions. Her areas of expertise included staff recruitment and
retention, employee compensation and benefits, organizational development,
internal audits and compliance, company policies and procedures,
employee relations, and staff training and personal development.
Brenda's most
recent project was to assist the Fairfield Medical Group with its
employee transition from the Northbay Hospital to a new organization
called the Solano Regional Medical Group. This included creating
job descriptions for 20+ positions in the medical field, coordinating
an internal job fair and working with the Group to create a mission
statement, and coordinate the development of a new logo and website.
Brenda also
served as the contract CEO for Employment Screening Resources, a
pre-employment background screening company, from September 2000
- June 2001. As CEO, she had total responsibility for operations,
sales and marketing, and finance. She brought to the position a
unique combination of human resources experience, as well as extensive
experience in managing a business and production staff.

Prior to creating Lynch and Associates, Brenda served from March
1997 until May 1999, as the HR Director for Cedco Publishing Company,
one of Inc. Magazine's top 500 companies in 1998. In that capacity,
she was responsible for developing and implementing the human
resource function and growing the company from 51 employees to
131 in 18 months. Her responsibilities also included training
and development, compensation and benefits, and employee relations.
Brenda was
the Director of Human Resources from May 1992 until March 1997
at Smith Ranch Homes in San Rafael, California. In this capacity,
she directed the human resource activities of an upscale retirement
condominium association and its 76 employees. She formulated and
carried out policies and procedures to ensure consistent and accurate
interpretation and application to assure regulatory compliance.
She coordinated professional support for human resources programs
and initiatives. Additional responsibilities included directing
executive and general staff members in the absence of the General
Manager.
Brenda's experience
includes a solid base in community association management. She
currently holds the prestigious Professional Community Association
Manager designation from Community Associations Institute (national
trade organization) and previously held the Licensed Community
Association Manager designation from the State of Florida. As
a Community Association Manager for Community Management Services
in Orlando, Florida, she managed 23 homeowners' associations with
over 3,000 units. Brenda created budgets and monitored fiscal
performance in addition to managing 20 employees and contractors
for both community associations and a large-scale apartment community.
Brenda holds
a Masters degree in Organizational Management from the University
of Phoenix and a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Management.
She is also active in numerous professional organizations, including
the San Rafael, Santa Rosa and Petaluma Area Chambers of Commerce,
the Northern California Human Resources Association (NCHRA), the
Personnel Association of Sonoma County (PASCO), Society of Human
Resource Management (SHRM) and is a past president of the Marin
Human Resources Forum.
